So, How Are We Doing?..

Entering our second week into our bi-annual fundraiser, Palestine Chronicle is right on track, having brought in just about 20 percent of our needed contributions in less then five days. We are confident that we are going to reach our target of $12,000 ahead of schedule.

We Are Popular, But….

Palestine Chronicle receives anywhere from 5,000-10,000 unique visitors daily. The good news is that audience analysis shows us that a wide number of readers are critics, or readers who have possibly not yet formed an opinion regarding the Palestinian struggle, or more, they have developed a negative outlook. This is exactly the kind of readers we want…but it makes fundraising efforts difficult.

We receive about one contribution for every one thousand readers. This is the downside of successfully reaching our target audience. But it also means that the onus is on a small number of us who are supporters of a media that represents Palestine and Palestinians in a fair and unbiased light. We are a slick little site with a huge mission and a remarkable audience.

It’s a tough time for many to give. We all seem to be facing an uncertain future and many of us are tightening our belts to get through these tough times. But there couldn’t be a more critical time for vibrant growth and flourishing of independent media!

Time to Pay the Piper…

So, if you haven’t had a chance to do so yet, click on the fundraising button to see where we are in terms of reaching our goal of $12,000.00 by October 30th.  If we continue to do this well, we will be able to cut the fundraiser short and get on to more important business, and that is working to provide a top-notch site for you.

We are embarking on our tenth year and we have only you to thank for that. Our site is 100% reader supported. We represent no political wing or faction. We don’t receive funding or grants from any governmental organization or interest group. As a result, no group or organization has any leverage over us and the only one we have to answer to is you!
