Israel committed a massacre against 400 factories in Gaza PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 April 2008

Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the acting speaker of the PLC, described, during a visit to a number of destroyed and closed Palestinian industrial institutions in the Gaza Strip, the impacts of the Israeli siege as a "massacre committed by the Israeli occupation against 400 factories."

Dr. Bahar pointed out that the Israeli siege affected all walks of life in Gaza including more than 200,000 workers who joined the lists of unemployment due to the lack of fuel supplies needed to operate those factories.

The acting speaker called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the industrial institutions which are either exposed to Israeli aerial attacks or closed because of the suffocating Israeli siege on Gaza.
